This policy explains how True Edge (“the app”, “we”), provided by Fernando Escobar, handles information when you use the True Edge mobile app. Questions: hello@thoughtfulmachine.com.
What we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifier or browsing activity, and the app contains no advertising or third-party analytics.
What a buddy can see
Buddies are people you invite into a private circle. For each habit or routine you decide whether it's shared. A buddy can see:
- completions of habits you've chosen to share, and your check-in status (for example readiness and whether you followed your plan) if you share check-ins;
- screenshots you have individually chosen to share;
- reactions and short messages you send them, and your weekly review if you write one.
Market data
The daily market read uses public and licensed market information (futures prices from Databento, the VIX from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), and official US economic release calendars). It contains nothing about you, and we don't send your information to these providers.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the app. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: account, backup and buddy features (data hosted in the United States).
- Resend: sending your sign-in code emails.
- Expo and Apple: delivering push notifications.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, or share it for advertising.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Cloud data is protected by per-user access rules so each account can reach only its own data, plus what buddies have chosen to share with it. No system is perfectly secure, but we design to keep private data private by default.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account. That removes your profile, backups, shared items and screenshots from our systems within 30 days. Data on your phone is removed when you delete the app. You can also export your data at any time from Settings.
Children
True Edge is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information. You can do most of this in the app; for anything else, contact hello@thoughtfulmachine.com.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app for significant changes.
